Potterne Park Bowl – Verwood
This Bowl in Verwood’s a mellow one. If you want a chilled out session, a few beers and BBQ this is the place you wanna be. A nice mellow transition and non-existent locals make this a fun skate. Seriously, this place is deserted most of the time. Just pumping a figure of eight in this bowl leaves you feeling like you’ve had a great skate, and with perfect coping, why not hit the lip too?
The concrete can get a little dusty at times but there always seems to be a broom lying around. It’s crazy, you leave a broom at any other park and the next day some Wideboy will be trying to smoke the bristles.
From the East (Portsmouth, Chichester) it’s Westbound on the M27. Stay on the M27 and then onto the A31. Take the exit signposted Verwood. Follow this road until your just entering Verwood and take a left down Woodlinken Drive. At the end of that road take a left, and at the end of that road take a left. Just as you pull out there’ll be another road on the left with a sign saying Potterne Park. Head down there and follow the road all the way into the park. The bowl is tucked in the corner near the ghetto farming equipment.
